This online expo features works of photographic art and their authors. They can be original photos or graphically enhanced. The Expo features photographic topics, types, styles, pretty much any category possible. So that means each Expo will be themed. The expos last for one to two weeks depending on feedback for the theme at hand.

The perks of this site for the photographers, is additional exposure to their photos, websites and to themselves in general. Frequent contributors may be featured with their choice of their photography for months at a time! A display section for photographers that are selected as “top of the year” will also be displayed for the following year! There are many other perks to the site, but too many to mention!

EXPO participation:
The Online Digital Photo Expo is a place which features artistic and technically stunning photography from a diverse group of photographers. Every week or so there is an Expo which is themed. If you wish to submit a photo or photos to the weekly expo, you must email me at email hidden; JavaScript is required. Be sure to include decent quality photos and if desired a small bio and links to your webpages. Photos are reviewed and allowed entry if fitting for the theme and of good quality or merit. The Expo photos are displayed at: http://www.digiphotoexpo.com ; NOT formally within this facebook group.

“Main Cast Members” are photographers who choose to participate in as many Expos as possible and have exceptional work and artistic talent. That is not intended to “say” any who are not Main Cast members are “below them”, rather that they do not have the time to spare for as many expos or they will have to wait for a spot to open. There are only 10 spots for Main Cast members. Main Cast Members are given further amenities because of their dedication, such as their own “profile/page” within the site.

“Special Guest Photographers” – Simply they’re all other photographers in the specific Expo. They also receive personal links and optional bio. They are placed within a page entitled “Special Guest Photographers” and have their name and link associated with each of their photos.

(NOT ACTIVE) ONE GREAT PHOTO PER DAY CONTEST:
(currently requires Facebook as contest is held within Facebook Fan Group)

After some trial time, I have come up with a structure for the Contest, there are no real “crappy” rules:

1.Entries and votes must be received by 2000 (800pm) EST. The winner will be messaged via Facebook by 2030 (830pm)EST. This will allow time for them to send a better quality photo to my email. The photo will have to be up no later than 0830(830AM)EST the next day on the official site. If a photo is not received by then, a separate photo will be selected by an expo cast member in order to keep the sites credibility up. However, if you submit a photo to the contest, feel free to submit it to my email that night in case I do not receive the winning entry by the deadline the next day. Then the default photo will be the next closest runner up as opposed to a chosen photo.

Please note that winning photographs, their photographers and links will be featured for the entire calender year on the front page withing the contest gallery with the chance to be voted as a top photo featured for the whole following year.

Legal/Disclaimer

All of your photos stay your property! Personal watermarks are allowed and encouraged on your submissions. The objective of the site is to promote artistic and/or professional photographers and editors, all forms of digital photography and the techniques behind them. The creator of the site is also an aspiring photographer/editor. I understand the leaps and bounds necessary to get work seen… and anything helps.

DISCLAIMER: LASTLY, I hate saying this AGAIN BUT legally I must, photos must be your own! Any photos uploaded to this group or featured on the “EXPO” site, are you own responsibility and you will be held liable for legalities surrounding all media you submit.

The group and site are not obligated to provide any service or display any submissions. This site does not discriminate and will be fair up to and beyond the public’s expectations. If a person submits a photo it is assumed copyright to them. Do not submit friend’s photos via this group….only your own work.
